Like you, I had read the books, done the research, watched the videos, and tried everything I knew to do to fix what I thought was broken - ME. If only I could learn how to be good enough, how to do it all well, how to do what I knew I was capable of, how to stop my body from feeling like it was on fire, and learn to create systems to keep me on track. If only I could understand why I overreacted to small things, why I shut down when I wanted to speak, why I felt responsible for others' feelings, why I couldn't stop overthinking every conversation, and why my body didn't feel safe. In all that knowledge, what I actually learned was that understanding alone wouldn't change a thing. There was a gap between knowing and doing.

The lie being sold is that you can read books, attend classes, and work your way to becoming "the woman" and having "the life" you dream of. The reality for the perfectionist high-performer is that you have to learn to feel again. I had become so disconnected and numb, because anxious was my normal. My body had gotten used to feeling amped up all the time and rest felt dangerous. My little girl nervous system had learned that this was the best way to stay safe.

Through EMDR I was able to reconnect with my body and my emotions. It got to the root of my unconscious beliefs that were driving me to avoid, distract, people-please, try to control, intellectualize, analyze, and numb out with social media or food. I learned to rest again; really rest and turn off the self-critical voice that kept accusing me of being lazy. I discovered that I could use my voice to enforce boundaries and share my needs. I no longer had to hide in someone else's perception of me and pretend to be what they wanted. I stopped overreacting and compartmentalizing my emotions. Instead, I'm now able to express myself in a healthy way.

I want to help you do the same. I want you to discover yourself again. The you without anxiety, depression, or lingering trauma. The you that is healthy and vibrant! The woman that responds instead of reacting; who doesn't yell at her kids for being kids; who doesn't have to keep holding it all together to keep the peace. Together we can remove the gap between knowing and doing, so that you can just BE who you were created to be.

You don't need years of therapy. You don't need more knowledge. You simply need a targeted modality that will work at the core issue. Another class, podcast, or self-help book is not going to change subconscious beliefs or stop cycles. The neural networks operating those limiting beliefs must be eliminated. Don't worry, I have the roadmap.
